Prototype of Readius - Posted by Kotik

A couple of months ago Philips promised us that in the period of two years we will be able to expect foldable LCD screens from then. Now philips have finished their prototype of their first such product. The picture above illustrates the product by Philips that is going to be the first document-reader or e-reader as it sometimes is called. Philips have decided to call this product "Readius".

The size of Readius will be about 100 mm x 60 mm x 20 mm, that is the size of today's mp3 players. The screen will have 320x280 pixel resolution and will be able to show four shades of grey.

It would be interesting to see how Readius makes it in the market and how it will be used. Only future will tell...
